DoeDeMee's Fight to End Illiteracy Takes Re-Imagining
If you're looking for some new wall art and want to fight illiteracy, I think this project is a tremendous option. DoeDeMee was established by Belgian design studio beshart. The purpose of the project was to re-imagine the covers of the "100 Greatest Novels of All Time" as selected by The Observer in 2003. The posters were designed by 100 different artists from 28 countries. Each poster costs around 35 euros, or $45 dollars today. For every purchase, 5 euros (about $6.50) goes toward fighting illiteracy. I pulled some of my favorites into the gallery and listed their titles below. Click the titles to go directly to the print for sale. Or, just visit the shop to explore the other titles to find your favorites.
